Maybe someday he'll volunteer that information to her. It's just technology. In truth he'd probably give her the ability if just the right circumstances and mood coincided. Meanwhile, it's almost.. fun to have a secret, as well as a secret with her.
Not without danger or potential threat, but that's part of the fun for him.
